Sometimes we find ourselves just surviving and not really living our lives. We try and we try, but we don’t know how to make it better – how to feel better, how to make our relationship work better.
It’s okay not to be okay, but you don’t have to stay there.
I can help when you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and unsure about next steps! You can have lasting freedom and strong relationships.
Individual Counseling Services – Individuals find a safe, comfortable space to explore struggles & overcome them. I specialize in treating trauma and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). This means I’ve gotten special training for treating people who have suffered from trauma. I can help you overcome your deepest, darkest struggles. I’m also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful tool that can help reduce the intensity of disturbing thoughts and emotions. You can find relief and peace from the things that haunt you.
Couples Counseling Services – Couples find a place where they learn the tools needed to reconnect. Using the Gottman method – developed through more than 40 years of couples research – couples learn how to see the good in each other and develop skills to work through difficult & hurtful things plaguing your relationship. Couples who master the tools report stronger and more satisfying relationships. You can have a relationship you enjoy that stands the test of time.
Though I am conversational in American Sign Language, I still include an interpreter for sessions with my Deaf clients to ensure the best possible therapy experience. I am very familiar with Deaf culture, however, and happy to assist the Deaf and Hard of Hearing!
About Me – I received my Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Before becoming a counselor I spent more than 20 years in the corporate world. I also have a child on the autism spectrum. I’m very familiar with the challenges life can throw at us!
I am passionate about helping individuals and couples overcome struggles and move past hurts. I truly believe there is hope and healing for each person and couple that joins me in counseling. I strive to create an atmosphere where people are safe to explore, heal, and meet the goals they have for their life.
Stop surviving. Start living.
