Board certified and licensed in Texas and Georgia. A philosopher once said, “suffering is needed for growth while living is suffering, surviving is finding meaning in suffering.” Suffering is an opportunity for those of us with the capacity to rethink our lives. Adversity can build character and inner resilience that may have been previously dormant. As your Counselor, allow me to assist you with this process while you take the lead! I have devoted myself to enhancing the quality of life of others by increasing self-esteem, self-concept, coping skills, and decreasing disruptive behaviors and thought patterns while fostering creativity, self-love, and personal insight and emotional intellect.
Collectively, humankind has always been impacted directly and indirectly by events external to oneself. My specific niche and specializations may benefit clients that fall within the populations requiring treatment of transgenerational trauma; which may include incarceration, poverty, racial injustices, matriarchal conflicts, motherhood/single motherhood, relationship issues(not couples issues)anxiety, depression, PTSD, survivors of sexual assault,CFBC issues, cultural/multicultural conflicts, anger issues, PTSS, adoptees, substance abuse, divorce, mood disorders, narcissistic abuse, occupational stress,IPV(intimate partner violence), and spirituality issues/concerns/uncertainty. These clients may be frequent travelers, truckers, indigenous/native peoples, essential workers, skilled laborers, “new collar workers”, celebrities, activists, and others ages 12-112 in addition to other populations that fall outside of these mentioned.I am also a brain spotting trained practitioner. I am an integrative therapist, so I utilize a multiple of modalities that are evidenced based as well based on the need of the client.
If you are experiencing symptoms resembling an activation, metaphysical conflict, an awakening, or would like to simply explore your self-transcendence ;allow me to hold a safe therapeutic space for you to examine this process. Inherently, healing comes in all forms and as an integrative therapist, I am open to traditional and non-traditional therapeutic empirically grounded methods that foster productivity in the lives of those that I serve. The years I have spent in the counseling profession have been an inclusive and diverse experience; as I have worked in community settings that allowed the client to determine their safe space. This fostered the concept of, “meeting people where they are” figuratively and literally! Clinically, therapy outside of a typical office can be conducted anywhere the client feels is confidential, comfortable, safe and allows for transparency. Currently, I only provide Telehealth therapy. My therapeutic goals will always align with that of the client, as the client is the expert in their lives! This idealism fosters productivity and a better quality of life for the client and their support system. I wholeheartedly believe in effective altruism. Furthermore, I am a mental health advocate, activist, humanitarian, an egalitarian, and philanthropist that enjoys international travel, spending time with loved ones, shopping, nature, and visiting historical museums and landmarks in my free time.**Individual sessions are $80/session and Family sessions are $100/session**
