Regina completed her Master’s of Social Work Degree at the University of Windsor and is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers as well in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Regina’s experience stems from over a decade of working as an elementary school teacher with the York Region District School Board, where she worked with a diverse population of students throughout. Regina has a great deal of experience working with students with learning disabilities, autism, and ADHD. She is dedicated to nurturing a safe and non-judgmental space for her clients to transform their emotional hardship into strength, self-actualization, and fulfilment on their journey towards healing. Regina loves people, and whole heartedly believes that everyone deserves a chance to discover their utmost potential, and live life to its fullest. Therapy provides the space for growth and healing. We begin by building a sense of safety, and together we discover new perspectives for the challenges that arise. Regina strives to offer a genuine and warm acceptance for her clients, a place for curiosity, and empathy.
Regina has worked with a diversity of individuals, couples, families, and those afflicted with addiction. Regina has experience working in an in patient treatment centre for addiction and mental health where she facilitated therapeutic groups and individual counselling. A Family Health Team, where she provided counselling and case management for the patients within the team. She draws from a variety of modalities in practice, including Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing techniques, and a Strengths Based Approach. Regina’s clinical interests include work with post partum and fertility related issues, anxiety, depression, self harm and suicidal ideation, grief/loss, life transitions, career and education exploration, body image/eating disorders. She has a compassionate and collaborative approach to help individuals to clarify and achieve their personal goals.
