These days, it seems like we’re all having a hard time. The good news is, it can get better.
Maybe you feel hopeless at the state of the world. Maybe your relationships are challenging or you’re struggling with isolation. Perhaps you’re frustrated at a cycle of behavior and experience – a pattern you can’t seem to change. Perhaps you’re overwhelmed by a recent life transition, and don’t know what to do next. Perhaps old traumas are still haunting you.
I’m here to accompany you on your journey of deeper embodiment: to help you discover and love all the banished and forgotten parts of yourself; to make peace with harsh realities of your past; to find your resilience to cope with the stressors of today; to reside in a place of more well-being, stability, and joy.
I currently have availability for individuals, and full-fee couple/relationship clients
Relationships are vital to our livelihood and happiness as humans.
They also can be a challenge, encouraging you to learn about yourself, grow and change. We often attract partners that compliment our particular wounding in such a way that moves us towards the healing and integration we need. This can be difficult and painful at times, but when we move through it consciously, can be ultimately rewarding, fostering more connection and happiness. It’s incredibly helpful to have an outside ear to help you through this process.
I help you and your partner(s) understand your relationship dynamics – and each person’s role in creating that dynamic. I emphasize building emotional fluency, personal responsibility for experience, and finding pathways towards connection. I’m somatically oriented, meaning we’ll enlist the body’s wisdom to understand the relationship dynamic at a deeper level. I’m influenced by Stan Tatkin’s Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), Hakomi’s principles of mindfulness and resourcing, contact improvisation’s wisdom in somatic attunement and “shared center,” attachment theory, polyvagal theory, and power dynamics.
I specialize in working with interracial couples and multicultural folks, and anyone who goes through life with a marginalized identity. We consider and include how oppressive structures and institutions inform and impact the relationship.
Poly and kink informed, LGBTQI inclusive, and fat affirming.
