Hola! I’m Nancy, a bilingual Spanish-Speaking Latinx Therapist and Supervisor with over 10 years of providing trauma informed therapy. I specialize in trauma and attachment. I provide therapy to children and adults who usually find themselves feeling frustrated, anxious, sad, afraid or depleted by their personal relationships. You may be experiencing a hard time navigating through life because of a traumatic event, finding yourself after a break-up, or adjusting to the challenges of parenting.
You might have felt you were doing a good job, as you’ve worked hard to become successful and break unhealthy family cycles. Yet, you are having some of the same feelings you did as when you were a child or making some of the same mistakes you’ve sworn you wouldn’t make. You’ve come to reflect and see how far you’ve come, yet those feelings you worked so hard not to have keep surfacing and you are ready to make a change!
You are in the right place! I have over 10 years of providing trauma-informed therapy. I specialize in trauma and parent-child attachment.
One of the modalities I love using for trauma is Brainspotting (BSP) because you get access to trauma that is stuck in parts of your brain where there is no language, so this means you can heal trauma without talking about it! You can learn more about BSP on my website nancyrosastherapy.org
For parent-child attachment, I love the modality of parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) because the child gets to play with their parent while addressing trauma and behavioral issues, while the parents get to witness their parent-child bond strengthen all while increasing parenting skills and positive behaviors in the child. You can read more about PCIT on my website nancyrosastherapy.org
I am so pleased you have made the decision to seek out additional support through therapy. I am here to foster your courage, vulnerability by creating a safe space for your healing journey, to be free and become an authentic you!
I am here for you, schedule your free 20- minute consultation to see if my skills set is the right fit for your mental health needs!
A little about me: I’m a first college generation Mexican American born and raised in California! I was raised in a single parent home, in which the value of education and good work ethic was placed above healing past trauma and forming healthy relationships was a foreign concept. It was precisely there, in the middle of all of the love and unhealthy dynamics, that my passion for mental health was ignited! I am grateful to all of the resilient women in my family whose sacrifices afforded me the opportunity to attain a higher education, have a successful career and through it create hope, healing and light into the lives of others…You!
