I am a body-centered therapist who specializes in working with trauma and emotion instability/intensity—this includes interpersonal relationships, depression, anger & anxiety.
Therapy is a two-pong approach: the skills & tools to get you through the day-to-day; and psychodynamic work of getting to the root of the issues (trauma-informed lens).
I combine DBT/CBT skills and tools, with EMDR and IFS to stabilize symptoms, and make way for healing, a deeper understanding and connection to self.

The majority of my work has been with veterans; those recovering from addictions; individuals & families struggling with personality disorders; and Asian-Americans (ranging from students, professionals, trailblazers, and couples).
I have found that most people can benefit from trauma work—identifying what is behind the presenting issues (like anxiety, addiction, and unstable relationships) in order to heal.
Oftentimes people come to therapy asking “What is wrong with me?”, in our sessions, you will see that the real question is “What happened to you?” That the symptoms you are suffering from are a result of attempting to survive another day.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative. You might see that word a lot in the therapeutic setting, but what does it mean? It means I walk alongside you. I invite curiosity and reflection so that my client and I can explore & discovery together. Some folks come to therapy wanting answers, which is natural especially if you have been suffering for a long time—I don’t know all the answers, because I don’t put my clients in boxes. Collaborative means I empower clients in their healing process. Clients can expect a safe, stable therapeutic environment created with care, intentionally, openness and transparency.
The first layer of goals is assessing if any stabilization is needed. This can look like tools & skills to get us out of survival mode; managing stress; or addressing thoughts self-harm.
The next layer is what I call “present process”. What is happening presently that is actually connected to negative beliefs created in the past. For example, I was late to work, and I felt irritable and frustrated the rest of the day; my partner said something to me and it immediately made me feel empty & worthless; I didn’t want to get out of bed today. Experiences and thoughts like these are like ends of strings for us to pull on to see what it is connected to. It is not simply asking how your day is, the goal is to identify deep seeded negative beliefs in order to understand them, and heal them.
Structurally, two things you can expect from me is “work smarter, not harder” and “measure twice, cut once”. As I get to know you, and you settle into talking to a stranger, it might feel a little slow at first. But as a trauma-informed therapist, I am constantly picking up data points to explore. You can expect a lot of curiosity, clarification, and someone that is fully present with you.
You have put your trust not only in the therapeutic process, but in me. I respect and honor that.
Some may refer to it as a “career change”, some may say it is a “calling”. Put simply, my own journey to healing, my innate love for psychology, and the spiritual experience of being of witness to the human experience continues to inspire and drive my work everyday. I truly enjoy what I do, and feel blessed and honored to be able to do what I do.
Sometimes words are just not enough to capture the complexities of our human experiences. I believe in empowering and resourcing the body through intentional awareness and skills to recognize, and safely connect to emotional injuries & unresolved loss and grief.
I believe therapy should honor diversity & inclusivity, and forge a collective path towards intergenerational healing.
I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Level 1 Yoga Therapy-Trauma; Experiential Therapy; a psychodynamic lens; and am a trauma-informed yoga teacher.
My approach stems from a strength-based, trauma-informed lens that allows for us to explore and understand the cognitive, emotional, and physiological needs. Together, we explore and heal through discovering a harmonized sense of Self & igniting potential and fueling your innate desire to learn, to grow, to heal.
