I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in working with adults who experience intense emotions. My work with you would involve teaching new skills to help you to survive the emotional storms, regulate your mood, have healthier relationships, and become more mindful.
I have very strong validation skills and I’m very comfortable with talking with you about taboo topics. I show up to sessions with a balance of non-judgmental acceptance and movement towards change.
I have a natural ability to:
- Help you identify what you are feeling
- Sense what you may be thinking and feeling
- Explain mental health symptoms in an easy-to-understand way
- Accept you for who you are, despite your current life circumstances
People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help people feel heard and understood.
Our sessions are focused on providing you with the space to speak completely uncensored. In feeling safe and comfortable, you’ll be able to be heard and deeply validated, in order to find skills to change the parts of yourself that you want to change.
It’s important to me to provide you with a non-judgmental space where you can be yourself and consistently work to address your needs. Since there is not a “one size fits all” approach to therapy, our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.
As A Therapist, I Embrace the Following Philosophies:
- I believe that you are worthy of love and care
- I believe that emotions heal when they are witnessed and validated
- I believe that therapy works when both of us are committed to your healing
- I believe that change is possible when you allow yourself the space to do the work
- I believe that all of us are doing the best we can, even if that sometimes looks messy as hell
