***CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING OPEN PATH CLIENTS***
Hello there, and welcome.
I’ll be frank: it has been a stressful and exhausting time we’ve been living through. A global pandemic is still changing our relationships, and the way we live our lives. We’re being exposed to an unprecedented amount of collective trauma both within our communities, and on a larger global scale.
You wake up in the morning feeling tired or anxious, dreading what the day might bring. You wonder what you do this for, and why it’s been getting harder to see the positive things in life. Your shoulders feel heavier than usual, and it feels almost impossible to focus on anything. Conversations with friends and family feel dry, and activities or hobbies that used to excite you now feel joyless, or just not worth the effort. The news about sociopolitical tragedy is playing in the back of your mind constantly. You wonder how your friends are posting joyful social media updates when you feel like you’re barely holding on by a thread. You go to bed at night feeling drained, wondering if something will change.
I want to tell you that Your experiences are completely valid.
I’m here to affirm that your struggle makes sense, and you are not alone. I’m glad you’re reaching out for help today, that you’re making a step towards trying something different. It would be my honor to walk alongside you as we rediscover how best to rebuild a life that you can be proud of and grateful for.
Hi, my name is Jack Lam (蓝立杰).
I am a Queer Chinese Malaysian immigrant therapist, who brings a compassionate, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive lens to the work I do. My goal is to provide a space for you to understand yourself more deeply, and build a more fulfilling life that is true to your values. I can help with reframing thinking patterns, changing behaviors, building new routines, and delving deeper into traumas that might be affecting the way you think and behave.
I want you to know that you can (and deserve to) have a life that feels joyful and exciting, and I would be more than grateful to support you on your journey.
Virtual Therapy appointments are available for California residents Wednesday through Friday 11 AM to 4 PM
