I specialize in affirming, anti-oppressive individual therapy for the women and the queer community. I help people understand how past experiences are impacting the present, identify relational patterns, build secure relationships, take ownership of their lives, define themselves, and create the relationships and sex they desire. People describe my therapeutic style as warm, humorous, energizing, empowering, and supportive.
For most individuals I work with, relationships and sexuality brings them to therapy. Frequent topics of conversation include shame, trauma, secrets, identity, self-worth, family conflict & estrangement, intimacy, sexual avoidance, lack of sexual desire, sexual communication, kink and/or BDSM, consensual non-monogamy, coming out, boundaries, relational patterns, self-punishment, anxiety, contemplating or recovering from a difficult break-up or divorce, grief/loss, and attachment.
I am a cisgender, queer, and anti-mononormative counselor with 20+ years of experience practicing, teaching, and researching counseling. My counseling interventions are non-judgmental, sex positive, and informed by current research.
I offer secure and confidential individual counseling to older adolescents (16+) and adult residents of Georgia. This is an inclusive practice committed to affirming, anti-oppressive counseling for people of all genders, sexualities, and relationship structures. I am an anti-racist, sex-positive, poly affirming, pleasure positive, kink aware, body-positive, and neurodivergent affirmative therapist.
