While challenges in life are inevitable, I believe that each individual holds the ability to befriend themselves and expand their capacity for self-awareness and connectedness. Working alongside a mental health professional can facilitate a shift towards one’s own values and fulfillment, whatever that may mean for you. I am passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space for you to explore and process your past, present, and future.
Throughout life, we often learn to cope with suffering and survive through experiences in ways that may no longer serve us today. I can help you move towards the life you want to live by moving beyond unconscious patterns, providing coping strategies, resources, and insights that allow you to live more authentically.
The therapeutic space I offer is honest, supportive, and judgment free.
I have completed trainings in a variety of evidence-based approaches that include Compassionate Inquiry, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I completed a graduate level program in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University that was primarily guided by a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach. Under professional supervision, I have completed a 7.5 month practicum at Good Grief Halifax where I worked alongside clients through their own experiences of grief and loss. Also trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), I virtually facilitate mindfulness-meditation through Mindful Leader.
