“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our
response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” – Viktor E. Frankl
Hi, I’m Abigail, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping adults overcome
challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma-related disorders. Many of
my clients feel weighed down by past experiences or overwhelmed by their thoughts and
emotions, unsure of how to move forward. Together, we work to stop struggling against difficult
internal experiences and instead focus on responding to them in ways that align with their
values and support meaningful change.
I offer specialized care using both Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye
Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), two highly effective therapeutic
approaches. ACT provides a framework for helping clients respond effectively to their thoughts
and feelings while committing to actions that reflect their personal values. This approach fosters
resilience and empowers clients to create a meaningful and fulfilling life. EMDR is a powerful
evidence-based therapy for addressing trauma and other distressing experiences. It helps
clients process and resolve the emotional impact of past events, enabling them to break free
from patterns of distress and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Beyond my professional life, I am a proud mom to two wonderful children. I enjoy traveling,
playing board games with friends and family, and hiking in the beautiful North Georgia
mountains. These personal passions keep me grounded, and they remind me of the importance
of creating balance and joy in life—principles I aim to bring into my work with clients.
My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel supported as we work
together to build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and achieve your goals. You
don’t have to face your challenges alone. Therapy offers the tools, guidance, and empathy you
need to create meaningful change and take steps toward the life you envision. If you’re ready to
begin this journey, I invite you to reach out and start the journey to a better life.
